KinCony controller to Mushroom farm - intelligsystems - 02-21-2025

Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum and new to ESP/Home Assistant.
I have a mushroom cultivation tent where I use a humidifier, blower motors, LED lights, sensors, and an electric heater.
Currently, I control the climate using WiFi-connected sensors, but I would like to fully automate all devices and manage them using Home Assistant (I already have a server and WiFi infrastructure set up).
I'm unsure which Kincony controller would be the best choice, so I’d appreciate your advice. I've attached a diagram showing the devices I want to connect to the controller.

List of devices and required functions in Home Assistant:
  • Electric Heater (PTC 1.5 kW): Turn on/off based on the temperature sensor.
  • Humidity, Temperature, and CO2 Sensor: Read and monitor sensor data.
  • UV Lamp (in humidifier water container): Activate for short intervals (e.g., every 10 seconds).
  • Blower Motor: Adjust fan speed based on CO2 sensor readings.
  • LED Lights: Run for 12 hours daily with adjustable intensity.
  • Humidifier: Turn on/off based on the humidity sensor.

Thanks in advance for your help!
Krzysztof

i suggest you chose kincony F16 controller, here is details: https://www.kincony.com/esp32-s3-tuya-relay-board-16a.html
you can connect to your loads directly.it use by high quality 16A removable relay. the temperature humidity sensor chose KinCony TS. CO2 sensor use by 4-20mA or 0-5v signal type.

Thank you for your help! I bought the F16 controller. I will test my project, and I hope to share my results with you soon.

Hi,
I’ve connected almost all the devices to the Kincony F16, and everything seems to be working as expected.
In the meantime, I’ve modified the project because it turned out that it would be better to manage the blower motor speed dynamically using the Home Assistant application.
I’m wondering if the https://www.kincony.com/esp32-pwm-dimmer.html would be a good choice for controlling my new blower motor.

Here are the technical specifications of the new motor:
  • Voltage: 24V DC
  • Frequency: 50 Hz
  • Power: 43.2 W
  • Current: 1.8 A
I need to control four blower motors.

What do you think about using the KC868-AP? Would it be a good choice for this motor blower?

i think it's ok with KC868-AP dimmer board. But you need have a test .

Thanks for your response. I have a question about the Wi-Fi connection.
I see in the description that there is a Wi-Fi interface. Since this board will be installed inside a power distribution box, I will need to use an external Wi-Fi antenna.
Is it possible to connect an external Wi-Fi antenna to the KC868-AP?

Is it possible to connect an external Wi-Fi antenna to the KC868-AP? You need cut the pcb wire, weld extend wifi antenna by yourself. another way, you can replace ESP32 module with IPEX socket version.

Thanks for your help. Is it possible to order the KC868-AP with an ESP32 that has an IPEX socket directly from Kincony?

you can order from our online store https://shop.kincony.com/products/kc868-ap-esp32-pwm-dimmer?_pos=1&_psq=ap&_ss=e&_v=1.0
when you order, leave message , we can replace the ESP32 module with IPEX version, just maybe take 1 week to prepare it.
