LAN connection lost sometimes - apps4check - 08-06-2025
Hello. Board KC868-A2 (revision 2.4) disconnect from the network every couple of months. It seems that the LAN chip freezes, since the link on the router disappears. I found your video with a presentation of the new version of the board, where you say that in the new revision you changed the chip to W5500 https://youtu.be/oFZbByLGK2M?t=293 and that the old chip is unstable. KC868-A2 is located at a fairly large distance to use wifi. Watchdog, if present, does not work and the board can be disconnected from the network many hours until it is rebooted by power manually. What can be done to prevent the problem?

you can re solder the LAN8720A chip, or replace a new one.
