KC868-V16 and 6-terminal PIR Wiring - tasman - 09-18-2025 Hello I am looking for some help with wiring my PIRs to the KC868-A16 as I am not getting any reading when motion is detected. My PIRs have 6 terminals: 1. +12V 2. -12V 3. ALM 4. ALM 5. TAMPER 6. TAMPER Power is supplied successfully via the +12V terminal. The PIR was wired to the old board with one of the ALM terminals (left) and a TAMPER terminal. I have attempted to wire to a digital input on the KC868 and GND. On the PIR I tried the ALM and TAMPER terminals which did not work. And I also tried ALM (left) and ALM (right) terminals which also didn't work. I also read I needed to jumper the TAMPER terminals together but that did not work either. If I short the blue and yellow wires connected to the digital input and GND I do get a reading, therefore the issue is on the PIR side. Has anyone successfully wired a PIR like this? Thanks for your help in advance. RE: KC868-V16 and 6-terminal PIR Wiring - admin - 09-18-2025 you should use multi meter to test your PIR output signal, whether is dry contact. maybe it's a voltage output. RE: KC868-V16 and 6-terminal PIR Wiring - tasman - 09-27-2025 I found a solution to the issue for this PIR, which is a Pyronix KX15DT. Here is a wiring diagram. Make sure you remove any jumpers in the highlighted area. |
