Can't connect using KCS firmware - dalora - 02-15-2026

I just purchased KC868-A6V3 Board.
On connecting the unit I tried connecting using wifi hotspot.
I did not find the hotspot I was expecting instead a "Hidden network" appeared in Wifi network list.
I was unable to connect to thisĀ
I thought that perhaps unit had shipped unconfigured as I purchased from Aliexpress.
I then tried flashing using KCS_A6V3__v3.19.0 firmware but got the same result.
Firmware tool indicated successful installation.
I then tried setting up using ESPhome in HA using your supplied YAML file and that worked OK , unit comes onlineĀ  , relays are able to be used.
I tried again using KCS firmware but still same result and Hidden network appeared again in Wifi list.
I tried connecting using SSID of ALR-0070077FE024 and passkey supplied in ESPhome YAML file which got me to the message "unable to connect to this network"
I then went back to ESPhome configuration and it works again and appears online , relays work
This proves that the hardware works but I really want to use the Lora functionality to control some water controllers I have.
Also the LCD display has never displayed anything , - why
Any assistance you can supply is much appreciated

I should have mentioned I get the following output from the serial port when KCS firmware installed.
I followed your installation instructions exactly.

I got the result shown in attached picture

I get this info from serial

RE: Can't connect using KCS firmware - dalora - 02-16-2026

OK , just flashed again and get this result
I powered board off then on , In wifi settings I get "Hidden Network" and for a short while also "OnlyLans" which disappeared soon after

RE: Can't connect using KCS firmware - dalora - 02-16-2026

Further info. The Hidden Network and OnlyLans networks are not coming from the KC868 as they appear even when KC868 not switched on. My apologies I thought they were .

do you have chosed "ESP32S3" chip type?
take a photo of your PCB board.

RE: Can't connect using KCS firmware - dalora - 02-16-2026

Here are pictures. I have always used ESP32 chip type when flashing as that is what your instructions say

this is KC868-A6 board, NOT KC868-A6v3 board. the A6v3 board is blue color.
you should download KCS v2 firmware for your board. here is link: https://www.kincony.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=8795
