Z1
#1
Purchased a Kincony Z1 controller last week.

Located the newest firmware. v3.18.0

launched the flash download tool 3.9.2

Settings at esp32s3, usb

My com port is COM4.

open my firmware v3.18.0, all default settings.

I hit "START", and nothing..  ??

Is there a button that I have to hit on the Z1 unit?

Couldn't find the Z1 forum here, sorry if in wrong area.

Thank you, looking forward to this Z1 being added to my system.

1. power off Z1
2. hold on DW (download) button, don't move your finger.
3. power on of Z1
4. release your finger.
5. Then Z1 enter bootloader mode. download firmware again.

Powered everything OFF, and started over.

Did the download button.

Powered the Z1 on.

Downloaded the new v3.19.0 Firmware.

This seems to have worked.

Now, I have to figure out how to log into the unit..

Thanks

For some reason, my router does NOT like the Z1.  It keeps dropping it on the WiFi over and over.  I'm using a Peplink.  I'm sure it's the Peplink, as this device is NOT the only one it has issues with.

What the optimal settings for WiFi?   WPA, WPA2 Personal? WPA3 Encypt?

What's the best Frequency?  2.5 or 5?

Is there a way to get Ethernet on the Z1, though a USB-C to Ethernet adaptor?  PoE?

Thanks

Z1 only use by wifi, you can change your router wifi channel to another channel number.

Working with Peplink, and I'm hopeful.

Backup, might be setting up another AP point, then turning off the AP included in the Peplink router.

Lets hope they can help me.

Thanks
