RS485 Modbus SHT30 sensor setting
#1
Photo
Hi,

I have RS485 SHT30 sensors like below.
How should I configure and wire it to use as sensor in KCS v3?
Should I use rs485 TR/TS option? This is not a Kincony sensor.

TS option only work with kincony TS product, different product have different protocols.

Thank You. I’d like to suggest:
Option 1 – Custom sensor support:
Allow users to manually define Slave address, register number, function code and value multiplier in the Sensors section - so any standard SHT30 RS485 sensor works natively as Sensor.
Option 2 – Protocol documentation:
Publish the KinCony TS Modbus register map so users can reprogram third-party sensors to match the TS protocol.

Modbus Pull (v3.24.2):
Can the new “standard Modbus RTU V2 protocol handler” read data from a third-party RS485 sensor and publish it via MQTT to Home Assistant automatically?

I think many users have third-party RS485 sensors - this would be a very useful addition.
Thank you!
