KC868-A16 Shutter with percentage
#1
Hello,

I have a KC868-A16 device, and I would like to use it for roller shutter (blind) control, ideally with integration into Home Assistant.
I’ve tried using ESPHome, but the outputs were only recognized as switches, not as covers.
My questions:
  1. How can I use my KC868-A16 for roller shutter control, including percentage-based position control?
  2. Which firmware is best suited for this purpose: ESPHome, Tasmota, or Tuya?

1. i think you can set the "delay" time for the relay. you can calculate the time shutter open/close time.
2. this just set by KCS firmware, see the photo.

This is a question for Home Assistant, not Kincony.

You can use this:

https://github.com/davidramosweb/home-as...time-based

In the configuration you need to indicate the two switches for up and down, and the time it takes to open and close the cover.

You will get a cover object which you can set to a specific percentage.

And if your covers have tilting, you can use this fork:

https://github.com/Sese-Schneider/ha-cover-time-based

It allows to also control the tilting with the same method.
