Energy calculation for negative currents
#1
Bug
The energy calculation seems to be always positive and not take into account negatieve power.

Although current was negatieve and power too the energy is positive.
Also noticed that in a phase where current was pos at first and neg later the energy keeps adding which makes the energy calculation incorrect.

Energy is defined as a 32-bit float so it should be able to handle pos and negatieve loads.

do you means, the "Energy" also show by negatieve value?

Although energy cannot be negative it is effectively seen as negative (for costing) when it flows in the reverse direction.

What I would expect is that if the current is negative the energy consumed is reduced or it is not counted in same value/register but kept track of in another register.
In my case I measure what my home is consuming effectively and when the sun is shining the inverter(s) deliver to the grid. And we pay for the difference in some period.

I know that power meters we are using at my work (of brands Socomec and Janitza) keep the positive and negative values for Energy separated so we can see exactly when we consume or deliver. I can do that in my Data Historion but it would be a nice feature.

can you take some photo of that, we will check whether can add it.

The modbus registers for a device like this:

I know these are advanced measuring devices usin in the industry. but the concept is not that different from what the BL0910 does.
If total energy would be splitted into two registers one for +  and the other for - it would also allow tot totallize these registers to get the effective energy consumed.
