your transmiter module is install direction is reversed, it's wrong. i suggest you remove your transmiter module (the smallest square) for a test.

I did the test without the transmitter module but the codes are still not visible in the LOG

Do you have an oscilloscope?

I would like to have one but unfortunately I don't, I think I will put one on the next shopping list from China.  Undecided

i think you can test whether have signal output in RF 433MHz receiver's "DATA" pin.

Can you be more explicit please? The RF receiver has 4 pins. From what I saw one of them is connected to GND through a resistor on the back of the PCB. Between which pins should I measure the signal and what should I expect to see?

the pin "DATA" with "GND" , whether voltage will changed when you press the remoter's any button.

I did the test. No button pressed on the remote control the values are: GND to DATA = 3.57 V, DATA to VCC = 1.38 V.
When any button on the remote control is pressed the values are: GND to DATA 3.59 V (sometimes 3, 60 V), DATA to VCC 1.38 V.
The conclusion is that when you press a button on the remote control the only value that changes is between GND and DATA, from 3.57 V it becomes 3.59 V or 3.60 V

1. Monday confirm with you. Because use oscilloscope is the best way, now you using Multimeter measurement.
2. Do you only have 1 433MHz receiver module? no another module for a test?
3. Do you have connect the receiver module with wrong reverse install as same as the transmiter module before?
