i saw that you use ethernet cable to hook up the light switch to the server. i was wondering if there is a possibility to add an rj45 connector on both ends (a faster pug and play connection )

sure, no problem, actually you can use any cable for connection.

I saw that there are enough outputs for lights but how do you connect for example 10-20 individual light switches ?
Any chance if getting a more details video on how to connect devices and how stuff work. Some parts i understand and some not.

all switch wire connect to controller's digital input ports.
if one light control by multi buttons, just paralleling wires. for example, one relay control by 100 different buttons, just paralleling all wire together.
suggest you can check all diagram at here: https://www.kincony.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?fid=33

It will be mostly 1 light switch to 1 relay so i can control each light. I saw only 6 inputs here https://shop.kincony.com/cdn/shop/files/3_9b463b49-462d-4a5e-8302-7ab9131f961f.webp?v=1713939817&width=823
I need to buy that switch terminal board ?

RE: Automation for my new apartment - admin - 08-07-2024

if you use KC868-H32B Pro relay controller, you need to add new module KC868-AK for switch panel.

RE: Automation for my new apartment - drazvan2003 - 08-09-2024

For touch glass switches you still need kc868-hav2-rs485-io-module?variant=43662320205989 ? And this are also connected to KC868-AK module ?

For regular light switches that require kc868-hav2-rs485-io-module to turn them into smart ones i saw that you can place them in the light switch box since its small and fits there. Is there a posibility to make a bigger pcb board that accepts more inputs and ppace this module in the distribution box instead of the light switvh box ?

Best regards

if you use HAv2 module, connect to controller's RS485 port directly. it can work without KC868-AK. KC868-AK can use for a backup way for manual control relay.

And all light switch (for example 10 differnt light switch) are connected to the same port ? and can control 10 individually light bulbs ?
Dont i need https://www.kincony.com/how-to-use-switch-terminal-board.html connected to KC868-H32B Pro ?

-->Yes, all connect to same RS485 bus, just line A and B.
Dont i need https://www.kincony.com/how-to-use-switc...board.html connected to KC868-H32B Pro ?
--> Yes, not MUST need it.
