RE: Z1 - admin - 01-31-2026 you can check with ESP32S3 module datasheet. RE: Z1 - Borg357 - 03-03-2026 After working on trying to get my Z1 connected to my wireless.. I have failed after nearly 2 months now.. According to the ESP32S3 datasheets, it's 2.4mHz only. And it does support WPA2-PSK/WPA2-Enterprise, and WPA3-PSK/WPA3-Enterprise encyption. My router is a Peplink Cellular Wi-Fi Router MAX BR1 Mini. And WILL NOT CONNECT TO IT. So, my fix is to buy another AP point, and get that working. Which works as of now. But I have to run two WiFi AP points in my Van. I'll keep working with it, as I blame the Peplink. Peplink has been working with me, however, after not hearing from them for over 1 month now, I think they have given up on helping me out. Just an FYI. Thank you for your time. ps. Will you be creating a Z1 unit, with an Ethernet jack? An Ethernet jack would solve all my issues. Thanks RE: Z1 - admin - 03-04-2026 what resource you have used? zigbee? or ? RE: Z1 - Borg357 - 03-04-2026 Resource? I'm trying to connect via WiFi, and I'm ONLY trying to connect at this moment. I haven't got to set up the whole unit, untill it's connected to my WiFi. RE: Z1 - admin - 03-04-2026 we have many ethernet board, i just want to know, if you connect Z1 by ethernet, what you want do? such as connect with a zigbee sensor? receive RF signal? or send IR signal? RE: Z1 - Borg357 - 04-08-2026 (03-04-2026, 11:36 PM)admin Wrote: we have many ethernet board, i just want to know, if you connect Z1 by ethernet, what you want do? such as connect with a zigbee sensor? receive RF signal? or send IR signal? I finally installed another AP board, and I got the Z1 to connect to this board. Now it's connected to my network, abd I can log in, and save everything fine. I activate the "MQTT(HA): connected". It shows connected. However, when going to HA, it does not show up at all in Home Assistant. Since this is a RF/IR only board, do you have to have a learned frequency first, or should it just show up in HA without anything learned yet? Thanks -Richard RE: Z1 - admin - 04-08-2026 if you want use IR and RF in home assistant, need learn signal firstly. then enable mqtt auto discovery for home assistsant. RE: Z1 - Borg357 - 04-09-2026 I Learned 5 IR Outputs. Saved and rebooted the Z1. Rebooted the HA, and still NO Z1 in the MQTT area. RE: Z1 - admin - 04-09-2026 do you have downloaded newest KCS v3 firmware? you can download this one: https://www.kincony.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=9173 |
