Thanks, I realise there are silver, gold and black on offer, however I was asking if it is possible to get them with the aluminium frame not anodized at all? I presume the silver one is actually anodized with clear? Or just get aluminium frames only, separately, not anodized, then I could anodize them locally and replace standard ones.

Here’s a simple and budget-friendly DIY Smart Lighting Project you can try at home. It’s perfect for beginners who want to automate their lighting without rewiring or hiring an electrician.

DIY Smart Lighting Project: Voice-Controlled Living Room Lights
What You’ll Need:
  • Smart bulbs (e.g., Philips Hue, Wyze, or TP-Link Kasa)
  • Wi-Fi connection
  • Smartphone (iOS/Android)
  • Smart assistant (optional): Amazon Echo (Alexa), Google Nest (Google Assistant), or Apple HomePod (Siri)

Step 1: Choose Your Smart Bulbs
Pick Wi-Fi-enabled LED smart bulbs that fit your light fixtures (E26 screw base is common). Choose color-changing or dimmable bulbs based on your needs.
Tip: Go with bulbs that don’t require a separate hub (unless you plan to expand your setup).

Step 2: Install the App
Download the brand’s companion app:
  • Philips Hue → Philips Hue app
  • Wyze → Wyze app
  • TP-Link → Kasa Smart app
Create an account and follow the in-app steps to connect the bulbs to your Wi-Fi.

Step 3: Install and Set Up the Bulbs
  • Screw in the bulbs and power them on.
  • Use the app to detect and name each bulb (e.g., "Living Room Lamp").

Step 4: Connect to a Voice Assistant (Optional but Cool!)
Want to control lights with your voice?
  1. Open the Alexa, Google Home, or Apple Home app.
  2. Link your smart bulb account under "Add Device" or "Skills."
  3. Discover and assign rooms like “Living Room” or “Bedroom.”
Now you can say:
  • “Alexa, turn off the living room lights.”
  • “Hey Google, dim the lights to 30%.”

Step 5: Automate Your Lighting
Use the app to:
  • Create schedules (e.g., lights on at sunset).
  • Set scenes (e.g., “Movie Time” with dimmed warm lights).
  • Use geofencing to turn lights on when you arrive home.
