Poor IR transmitter range - onlyoneme - 09-08-2022

Hello, I've just bought this device and after some preliminary tests I've noticed that IR range is terribly poor comparing to my another transmitter, which is a cheap Tuya based device.

Is it a matter of weak IR LEDs or reason is something else?

KC868-AI is not based on tuya solution.
can you open the box to test the IR range.
Maybe you can adjust the angle of the internal infrared emitter.

I've tried without the top case. It's a bit better but still below my expectations.

Tasmota's guides recommend usage of TSAL6400 leds. Are the ones used in KC868-AG on similar level in terms of effective IR range?

KC868-AG use IR333C-A 5MM.
