Jumpered to boot from R Pi... - BaconRanch - 08-13-2024 Hello, I changed the jumper to boot from USB C port on CM4 Raspberry Pi and its not booting, no pwer at all in either position. Please advise what else needs to be checked. Thank you, Mark @ Bacon Ranch RE: Jumpered to boot from R Pi... - admin - 08-13-2024 take a photo how you set. it's better take a video of your problem. It seems like there are only a few options for a jumper, why not just tell us ? None the less here is another video I have had to make, download, and then upload and share Please take the device back for a refund. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1o6k1wtxhvQjmVaiA_CjNFYda8rFkpYnV/view?usp=sharing RE: Jumpered to boot from R Pi... - lulu01 - 08-14-2024 My understanding is that the board needs 12-24V to operate. Are you sure the board is supposed to also be powered via USB-C? The relays need 12V to switch, I don't see the USB-C connector providing this. https://www.kincony.com/raspberry-pi-iot-gateway.html RE: Jumpered to boot from R Pi... - BaconRanch - 08-14-2024 (08-14-2024, 12:11 AM)lulu01 Wrote: My understanding is that the board needs 12-24V to operate. I had asked this and was told yes....I have a few R Pis running Home Assistant instances and they all power via USB C . The power supply I am using is designed for R Pi4 and does provide 12V and 2 amps. The jumper apparently is for this purpose but its only 3 pins so it can only be 2 positions or a 3rd option I suppose is no jumper ? Cheers RE: Jumpered to boot from R Pi... - lulu01 - 08-14-2024 Raspberry Pi 4 is powered at 5V. If you have a power supply that works on a RPI4, it has to be 5V, and I doubt it will power the Kincony board. Probaly what it is though. Thanks again RE: Jumpered to boot from R Pi... - admin - 08-15-2024 Server16's USB-C use for read/write SD card (if CM4 without eMMC). Not use for power the board. Server16 need DC12v power supply to work. interface details see here: https://www.kincony.com/raspberry-pi-iot-gateway.html |
