RS485 - BIAS and TERMINATING resistors - thom4s - 08-15-2024 Hello, Iv got a RS485 network with Master (USB to RS485 + NodeRed) and some another nodes (up to 100m distance). I want add to the "middle" of network 2x KC868 A16 with ESPhome FW. USBtoRS485(master) ==== KC868-A16(slave) ==== KC868-A16(slave) ==== Last node(slave). Master has BIAS resistors + 120 R resistor. Last node only 120 R terminating resistor. Am I right when I think that BIAS and TERMINATING resistors has to be desoldered from both KC868-A16 ? By schematics BIAS are R77, R81 (4k7) and terminating resistor R79 (120R). Thank you. RE: RS485 - BIAS and TERMINATING resistors - admin - 08-16-2024 if you want KC868-A16 work as "SLAVE", you need remove the 120R ohm resistor R79 from PCB. |
