868-A4S - DabblerIOT - 08-22-2024
Hi. Had everything working this past winter with the 868-A4S board and home assistant.
I recompiled my code and installed it on the device. It installs, then hangs, can't connect or anything.
If I say prepare for first use from home assistant, it sets the board type (to esp32-c3-devkitm-1).
This installs, and runs normally, but not all pins are available to the program, and when I press the reset button it defaults back to the old firmware that shipped with the board (where it cycles the relays and outputs on power up).
So..
Have any examples of home assistant yaml for current revision of home assistant that should install and work?
Or any feedback on what the board type should be? esp32dev doesn't work for me.
Thanks in advance. I don't think I missed any step, but I am probably doing something wrong.

KC868-A4S use by ESP32 chip type. NOT esp32-c3. Please chose correct chip type.

They changed something recently.
esp32dev
used to work great and correctly.
Now it does not, software installed does not start.
Can you tell me what "board" type I should use in configuration for esphome?
To reproduce install updated home assistant and esp home as of today, and try to load your previously working configuration, or the configuration off of esp32home web site. Does not work. Thanks.

Thanks. As I said in the original message. It used to work. May be ESPHome bug, unsure.
Does not work. in current version. Possible for you to test with current version of ESPHome and home assistant?

Thanks for the help. Was able to sort it out, ended up being an issue with serial port (same type of chip), being picked up from another ESP32 device that was behind my monitors, that had the c3 type processor in it. Think it got into something where I confused home assistant, and the serial driver with having devices kind of cross mapped in home assistant.
Sorry to be frustrated with you last night. Was about done.
Back where I can test my app now.
