Speaker Not Working - Juanma - 12-04-2024
Hello guys, I’ve spent a week trying to solve the following problem: the speaker doesn’t work in any way. I’ve tried many methods to get it working, such as reinstalling the software, reinstalling Home Assistant, and reinstalling everything from scratch. The voice activation command “Hey Jarvis” works, but the response is not heard through the speaker. I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong or if the speaker is simply faulty. I’m attaching screenshots and a video showing how I have everything set up. I hope you can help me. Thank you.

here have two speaker arduino demo code, you can use it test your speaker hardware whether work well.

[arduino code examples for AS]-04 how to output dynamic wave to speaker by MAX98357A
just download the BIN file to KinCony AS by USB cable. after re power on , if you can hear the sound from speaker, that means hardware well. if hardware is OK, then you need check with your home assistant setting.

It seems I've received a defective speaker. After following your instructions, the speaker still doesn't produce any sound and online research also didn't yield any results, as it appears to be malfunctioning even when checked with a multimeter for continuity and resistance, as shown in the video. It looks like I was sent a faulty item.
