Reset Board ? product reliability - jltluc57 - 01-25-2025

Hello,

After a modification via the web page of a parameter, the system says reboot in 5 seconds.

except that the system will never reboot, you always have to cut and reconnect the power supply.

It's exactly the same thing with the reset button..
Just ping the port and you can see that the card is not rebooted.

This is not normal.

I also noticed that after loading a firmware, the visible parameters (Example Modbus slave 1) are wrong.
Indeed it displays 1 but in fact it probably has another value because for it to be recognized as slave one you have to re-enter the value and save it, and then it works.

I test this product, I realize that it has no problems (see my posts) this is only on this card model or dear colleague have you seen this also on other card references?

I have the impression that the product is debugged by customers as bugs are found.

Example
You have the card connected to the network by RJ 45 and Wifi (same IP) you disable the Wifi, save, the card is no longer visible on the network, while it is connected to the network via RJ.
You have to cut the power to see it again on the network via the Cable.

After the save the reset is not done correctly.

RE: Reset Board ? product reliability - admin - 01-31-2025

do you means if you disable wifi, can't use ethernet?

RE: Reset Board ? product reliability - jltluc57 - 02-01-2025

it works after a power reset.

if you have both connections active, network cable connected + wifi connected, when you disable wifi, the card does not switch to copper network.
you have to cut the power for it to work again.

tested:

1. download KCS v2.2.12
2. use ethernet cable connected with KC868-A16
3. config wifi as STA mode, set the router's ssid and password for A16
4. press SAVE button, then i can use "scan device" found two ip address of A16, one is ethernet, one is wifi.
5. disable "Wifi", after 5s
6. i use "scan device" to scan device, now only showed Ethernet ip address, i have not cut the power supply.

if you have issue, please take a whole progress video send to WhatsApp.
