A8s v2 inputs not working when using PoE - halt77 - 02-22-2025

Dear Kincony team,

It seems to be a problem with the A8S v2 board.

I've tested the A8S v2 with the PoE board and none of the inputs work (using either the KCS or esphome firmware).

If you power the board using the 12v input, everything works as expected (the inputs work), but as soon as you power the board with the Kinkony PoE board, all inputs go down (and they stop showing the expected status).

You can easily diagnose this providing power to the board only with PoE, as you will see the inputs do not work (even using KCS firmware).

I've about 20 A8S v2 boards. How can I correct this so inputs work when using PoE power?

Regards.

yes, there is a bug in PCB, we will fix it in next PCB version. if you want use POE with digital input, need add a jump wire on PCB. if you can weld and jump wire. i can tell you how to do.

Yes please. Post it here so any other users with the same problem can solve it.

1: R17,R18,R19,R20,R21,R22,R23,R24  are 4.7K, need replace with 1K
2: make a wire jump as photo RED jump line.

Dear Kincony,

I think I can make a wire jumper like you initially said, but I'm not capable of replacing resistors. If the boards have a problem I think you should get the bad ones and send me new ones. I've 20 of them.

i think you can make the jump wire firstly. if work well , not need replace the resistance.
