Slim 6A relays - eladn - 10-09-2021

I noticed there are these slim relays out in the market (example: https://id.aliexpress.com/item/32888741133.html). It can save lots of space in the electric distribution box (comparing to classic wider OMRON relays). All the lights in my house are LEDs of max 40w, so theoretically 6A should be enough per channel. Do anyone have experience with these slim relays? Are they reliable & safe? Do they really could withstand 6A or is it over-specification? Should their expected lifetime be similar to the 10A OMRONs?
Thanks, Elad.

if your load is very small can use this relay 6A. but you should not use full of 6A, it's not safety. we suggest use 10A relay will be more safety. because if use LED, the instantaneous current is very large. we have used 5A relay in KC868-H32 (it's first version of 32 relay board), but sometimes work with LED will let the relay's contact bad.

Thanks for the quick response!
Can you please specify the dimensions of your multi-channel omron relays module? (8/16/24). I'll be interested especially in their widths.

8 channel: 131mm*85mm weigh:327g
16 channel: 218mm*85mm weigh:327g
24 channel= 8 channel +16 channel's width

Hi. Thanks for the valuable info!
Are there any considerations to prefer 24V DC over 12V DC for relays command (or visa-versa)? Is it significantly more reliable using 24V for some reason? (regarding the relays / the relay's circuit / the H32BS MOSFET)

RE: Slim 6A relays - admin - 10-15-2021

it's same. we suggest use DC12V. just sometimes if used system by DC24V, so you can chose DC24v contactor. if voltage is higher, the load current will be lower.

Hi. I just received the 16 channels module (ordered from KinCony's official store). It is 248mm wide, and not 218mm as noted here. Can you please re-check the width of the 8 channels module? Is it really 131mm as written here? It is important to me to plan the board correctly before I order the rest of the parts. Thanks.

sorry for the mistake for 16 channel size. next week we will update webpage.
8 channel size is 131mm*85mm
