Centralized vs distributed control boards - TonyB - 10-16-2025 Hi everyone, I'm designing a new electrical system with Home Assistant integration for a 120 m² apartment with 8 rooms. I’m currently trying to decide on the best approach for the control boards. Would you recommend using a single central control board to manage all lights, sockets, and other devices, or would it be better to install multiple smaller boards distributed around the apartment to keep wiring shorter and more efficient? Any suggestions or examples from similar installations would be really appreciated! Thanks in advance for your help. RE: Centralized vs distributed control boards - admin - 10-17-2025 you can use a server - Pi5 for install home assistant software. install multi smart relay controller in different place. just all controller connect to same router in one local network is ok. If I decide to use multiple boards, would it be better to connect them over LAN or use a Modbus connection between them?
