Which parts to order for Loxone Project?
#11
1. DS18B20 are fine, but no Humidity.
Where DHT1X/2X are unfortunately useless , Humidity get broken within few weeks in 60-70% environment (I stopped to use them)

With Arduino on single output line it can act as HUB (1-wire extension) and can use 10x  DS18B20, so 1x Sensor per GPIO is very limiting

2. same with i2c extender if only 1x sensor use, not multiple with different address also very limiting
Is there some extension board/device to connect multiple SHT sensors?

Otherwise I need to stick with custom Arduino setup and collect SHT31 / SCD30 senzor values and distribute them via UDP to Loxone

3. how about you use 2pcs of KC868-A4S
Unfortunately it's just extra cost for not very good replace solution. Better stick with arduino, which is not the tidy made setup, but more flexible.

5. we don't sell the PCA9685 module, you can also find some module with 8CH version. KCS firmware not support PCA9685 directly, if you config by ESPHome, it no problem.
Don't have any ESPHome at my setup yet. Recently is just did Wifi Tasmota Plugs 230v setup via MQTT. Not sure if it works the same way -> Loxone

6. we are developing firmware will support Loxone, but only based on ESP32-S3 CPU board. KCS v3 firmware only design for ESP32-S3 solution board. Because of ESP32 don't have enough memory, ESP32-S3 is large memory size.
Understand, so then we Miss some Extensions Boards for i2c sensors, Analog Out. B16M would be great with such extras
Or maybe those extra GPIO could be programmed for those features ( i2c sensors, Analog Out )?

In every Smart home / controlled Environment you need multiple sensors and based on that you control. So if I'm not mistaken currently Kincony boards do not have such option.

As my thinking is if i pick Kincony  ESP32-S3 products, dont want to hassle with additional HW like arduino.

Loxone (act like Master) <-> F16 16CH ESP32-S3 (slave) -> I2C expander boards (act as sub-slave)
Would be awesome.

So make no sense to get  F16 16CH ESP32-S3 (KCS v3) and also boards based on older chip ESP32 with other system (ESPHome) and then later replace them with some upcoming  ESP32-S3 boards / extensions

Anyway even there are some gaps, still best HW which is smartly made, DIN holders/box, good support...much further in HW/SW development vs other options on market Wink Keep doing great job!

1. we will update firmware in future, support use GPIO as i2c bus, so that can use by SHT31 temperature and humidity sensor.

2. Do you only want integrate all sensors to Loxone Miniserver? i think in future will support one GPIO work with multi sensor.

6. will save your suggestion, in future maybe can update for that.

1. After update - How many SHTx sensors can manage?

2. Loxone 1-wire extension supports up to 20x sensors, but price around 150-200e and 1-Wire do not have Humidity in good quality as SHTx
What why I use currently Arduino as "sensor hub" for SHT31(Temp/Hum) and SCD30 (temp/Hum/Co2) and post data via UDP to loxone

My plan is (except other smart control logic) based on Temp or Hum value control 0-10V FAN for Air extraction.
Seems like for now I need to stick with Arduino and for rest Relays/DI order the Boards from Kincony after New Year...

By any change is there some EU distributor for your products?

Thanks!

1. how many sensors you want to manage?
2. sorry, we only send from China directly.
