loadcapacity control

for experiment, i managed to make a 3 step loadcontrol according  a simple clamb-amperemeter switch., wich observes the power injection to     the powernetline.
this works nice,
but uses 3 di and 5 do ports. for just 3 steps.
is there a better idea to accomplish even more steps?
anybody better suggestions?

in fact, i want to create a differential between step up and step down.
without ifttt ¨10Seconds delay #off¨, stepping up works fine.
i want a second,separate clamb to di2 ,for step down, and how to program ifttt?
