No power from relays
#1
Hello,

I have everything set up in my vehicle ( the server16 is going to run my RV,  12V system only ).  Everything configured in Home Assistant, switches working on corresponding LEDs working as expected....but no output at the wire block terminal.  What am I missing?

I have all switches ON but no power, I tred with all OFF in case of invert logic, still nothing.  Video attached just showing probe shows no power.

edit: video not uploading ....there is just no power

The relays only close a contact (dry contact), they do not provide power by themselves. You're supposed to connect one of the two blue wires to a power source, and when you close the relay you will get power on the other one.

I understand, thank you for your help.  Is there anywhere I can input power to for all 16, or do all 16 need seperate power input?  I think its the latter which is not great tbh but whatever

Relays are disconnected from one another, there is no option to provide power to all of them through one single wire. That would be a nice option. Other manufacturers provide a pre-made bus connector, but here you'll need to make your own.

@admin you could consider offering this as an option, have a look at the video here for an example from Finder:

very nice, the link doesnt work, can you kindly post a picture or will I find it on Amazon as ? 16 port bus bar ?   Suppose I can just daisy chain little loops from 1 to the next eaily enough. Not what I was expecting though  Sad

Have a look starting 1:05 here:

This is for connecting together several individual relays from the manufacturer Finder. One can imagine something similar for Kincony.

As this doesn't exist you need indeed to have small loops of wire going from one terminal to the next one. I did this for the H32B Pro, it's messy but I don't see another way.

Looks good.

It also turns out that there IS in fact a Kincony bus bar - you would just need to snip every other pin to use it.
