Issue Uploading Firmware to KC868-A16 Rev:1.6 - Error 2-Sync Fail
#1
Sad
Hello everyone,
I recently purchased a KC868-A16 Rev:1.6 board. I've installed the USB driver, downloaded the latest firmware, and the corresponding download tool. However, when I try to upload the firmware, I encounter an error with the following message: "Error 2-Sync Fail."
The error message suggests checking the chip datasheet to confirm that the strapping pins' status is correct. I’ve attached a screenshot of the error for reference.

Here’s a brief overview of what I’ve done so far:
  1. Installed the USB driver for the board.
  2. Downloaded the latest firmware and download tool.
  3. Attempted to upload the firmware, which resulted in the error message.

Could anyone provide guidance on resolving this issue? Any tips or steps to ensure the strapping pins are correctly configured would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your help!

Best regards,

Matheus

if you installed RF 433M receiver, please remove it when download firmware.

I haven’t installed the RF 433M receiver. Could it possibly be related to the USB driver? I installed the one provided in the link and also tried the latest version from the chip manufacturer's website, but unfortunately, it had no effect. I used UartAssist to try connecting, and I was able to open the connection. However, after disconnecting, I'm unable to connect again. I have to power off the KC868, switch to a different USB port, and power it back on, then I can open a new connection in UartAssist. Most of the time, when I try to install the firmware, nothing happens, as you can see in the screenshot below.

1. do you have used by USB-HUB? if YES, suggest connect USB cable to your computer's USB port directly.
2. can you try to use another USB-C cable?
3. can you take a photo how you wire and connect cable with KC868-A16 board.
