Reading fluctuates
#1
I'm testing my new KC868-M16-v2.
Using clamps YHDC 30A->1V.
I did the calibration without load and with a load of about 1kW at 220V.
When I measure without any current, the reading fluctuates around 0.
When I measure with the load working, I get the value also fluctuating around the setting I entered through calibation.
I use a coffe machine as this load of around 1kW.
While I do the reading with the M16v2, I simultaneously read the current using a Shelly Pro 1PM, which shows me a rock steady current during the test.

Are there known reasons why this phenomenon may happen?
Can I address it by changing anything in the configuration?

Thanks in advance

Do you use for home assistant by ESPHome?

I use home assistant. That's where I display the reading values.
The EspHome container is installed independently on the same raspberry pi.

Hi Admin,
could I get some support here?
Otherwise, how can I open a support ticket with Kincony?
Thanks in advance

because you are testing AC load, so something will have - value. it's normal. when we have free time, have a look, then feedback to you.

I agree that a negative number is normal, given the circumstances.
The problem is not this negative number.
The problem is that the reading fluctuates (goes up and down).
Currently, there is no current running through the clamp connected to the first port, and the port reports values between 0,07A and -0.03A.
The margin of fluctuation is abnormally high. That's incorrect.
Are there any settings that have an impact on this phenomenon? Or is this a defect?

I have the same isue with 50A-1v clamp on EPHome - Home assistant.

we will test, feedback later.

The load is changing, and the grid voltage is also changing, so the read current fluctuates is normal.
maybe can use "exponential_moving_average" setting in ESPHome let value stable: https://esphome.io/components/sensor/ind...ng-average

Hello, I have a similar problem, with transformers not connected, the consumption on all channels is 0.06-0.08 A, 15-18 W, nothing is connected
