1. you just parallel connect all your device with DC12v power supply. Not need add diode, because all have connect to power supply directly.
I'm guessing that I'd need to connect the board's 12v power supply in serial with the two 12v inputs that sit alongside the outputs? (sorry if that sounded confusing) Not "serial", by "parallel" way.
2. Sure, you can add a USB-RS485 adapter.

if want 8 channel relay version, KinCony A8Sv2 also support POE.
