Thanks but ESPHome is better as also allows using custom components, such as ones that automatically track energy usage per day / yesterday / week / month / year and adding tariffs.

Back to the original (unanswered) questions though...

• How often are readings sampled and updated?
  

• Is / how is, the ZMPT101B sensor calibrated ?  See: https://github.com/esphome/feature-requests/issues/2684
