kc868-a8 V1.5 flashing
#1
I am running two kc868-A6 with tasmota with no issues. I received my kc868-A8 and trying to flash it using the Kincony flash tool but it won't flash.
I am trying to load KC868A8_V2.0.6.bin with no luck and tried the latest version of Tasmota with the same results.
I  get the following:

Uploading stub...
Running stub...
Stub running...
Changing baud rate to 921600
Changed.
FLASH_CRYPT_CNT 0
ABS_DONE_0 False

is stub and send flash finish

In the tool panel I see a "AP number STA: number, BT: number and Ethernet: number

But the tool does not show it uploading.
I am still pretty green when working with Kincony boards, what am I missing? Is there something I need to do on the board?
I am using the CH driver and assume I am talking to the board given the panel is showing the AP, STA,BT and Ethernet?

Any help would be appreciated. I watched the videos and followed them exactly.

Also, could someone provide a URL for the scan tool, the link does not seem to work.

yes, I do but also want to learn how to use the Kincony applications.
I will start with Tasmota. I need help to understand why I am not able to load either one.
Can you help? Are the responses I am getting per my first post correct?

Ok, I am an IT engineer so understand all that and it has full internet.

I downloaded the flash tool and both Tasmota and the Kincony firmware images and trying to flash the 868-A8 with Tasmota which did not work so I tried the Kincony firmware.

I provided the detailed messages from the board when I attempt to flash it.

Can you please comment on what I provided? Is it a correct response? If it is, any idea why the board is not downloading the file from my computer?

When I flash a local copy of the firmware why does it need internet if the image is local? Should I be using a URL link directly and if so can you provide them for both Tasmota and Kincony please?

If you read my emails you wil see the version of Kincony firmware I downloaded. Is it correct for the KC868-A6 Board version 1.5.

Thanks

Forgot to mention I did watch the tasmota video previously, and download the software. I followed it step by step and the board will not flash per my other emails.
At times the board power cycles and not sure why. This board has never be used until now, I purchased it 6 months ago.

Can you comment on my last message, please?
I am able to talk to the board but not sure why it's giving me a specific response.
It explains why it won't flash.

I researched this error and its been seen by other Kincony board owners.
I downloaded the Tasmota32 13.4.0 from Git hub and it loads just fine. This shows that the board is working, the flash tool is working. However, as expected, the firmware does not support
some of your features.

The error shown in my previous email seems associated with ESPHome.

I watched the video but it does not use the 2.2.2. firmware on your site, it uses a much earlier version.

I just need to know what base firmware is needed for this board and where to find it. A video is not going to help us here.

My other KC 868-A6 units are working with the Tasmota32 also but as with the A8, the firmware does not support the features

PLEASE PROVIDE:
1. ANY OPERATING FIRMWARE (IF ANY) THAT NEEDS TO BE LOAD ON THE KC868-A8 TO SUPPORT THE KINCONY 868-A8 FIRMWARE LOAD AND THE LINK
2. TO BE CERTAIN I HAVE THE CORRECT VERSION, PLEASE PROVIDE THE LINK TO THE RECOMMENDED KINCONY FIRMWARE (E.G.2.2.2) FOR THE 868-A8 VERSION 1.5 BOARD, AND THE LINK
3. PLEASE PROVIDE THE LINK TO THE RECOMMENDED KINCONY TASMOTA FIRMWARE AND THE LINK

I FOLLOWED YOUR VIDEO AND IT DOES NOT WORK FOR THIS BOARD AS IT STANDS. WHEN IT IS SHIPPED, CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT, IF ANY, FIRMWARE KINCONY LOADS? PERHAPS IT'S BEEN CORRUPTED

I REALLY WANT TO USE YOUR PRODUCTS BUT WITHOUT SUPPORT THIS WILL NOT WORK. I AM RUNNING LOTS OF ESP32 DEV BOARDS WITH NO ISSUES.
