Alarm system wiring
#1
Can I use the Bosch isc-bpr2-wp12 motion sensor with a NC contact with the KC868-A16 board?

I guess I need to give it the 12V input on +/- and wire the NC contact to GND and a dry contact input?

yes, you are right. our board digital input port support any dry contact signal.

I'm currently running a KC868-A16 in exactly this manner and it works fine.  Note that if you hook up a smoke detector, these are NC not NO so you need to invert the input to get a correct reading.

At some point in the next few days I'll post a thread with notes on how to use a KC868 as an alarm controller, it's pretty straightforward with IFTTT rules.

The motion sensor I want to use is also NC so I need to invert it to, thank you I did not know that!

For people wanting to implement the entire alarm logic on a KC868, I've posted some notes on this here.
