K868-A16 433 RF MHz receiver
#1
Hello,

I recently bought some kincony modules to test. I want to make a smart home with modules made by kincony and Home assistant using ESPhome. My problem is this. I'm trying to use KC868-A16 with ESPhome and I can't decode the 433 MHz RF signal. (Of course I bought the KC868-A16 with the RF Transmit and receive modules). I saw "Lesson31- How to decode 433MHz RF signal and control RF device by ESPHome". According to the wiring diagram for KC868-A16, GPIO 2 is 433 MHz receive, and GPIO 15 is 433 MHz transmit. I use a common 433MHz remote control that has 4 buttons and I can't get any signal. Please help me solve this problem. Below is the configuration I have in KC868-A16.

change your receiver code to follows as a test, see the LOG output when press a 433MHz remoter's button :

# Example configuration entry
remote_receiver:
pin: GPIO2
dump: all

Thanks for the reply. I tried your setup and it doesn't work. No code from the remote control appears in the kc868-a16 log. The remote control is tested with another device where I can see that it works. (with Sonoff bridge). I also tried to troubleshoot by measuring the electrical paths on the pcb and everything is ok. I don't have another kc868-a16 to test the RF receive module on. If your code is tested and working, the conclusion is that the RF receive module is defective. Do you have any idea how I could test otherwise if RF reception works?

Yes, I have several remote controls. I tested them on other modules (Sonoff 433 RF to Wifi Bridge). All are working good but not with kc868-a16.

can you take some photo or video how you test?

I made two clips. In both clips I use the same remote control. In the first clip the remote control is tested with Sonoff bridge and I can see the codes transmitted in the log. In the second clip, I'm showing the RF receive inside kc868-a16 configuration and the test done with the same remote control.

I can't upload videos, what type of format should it be and what is the maximum size?
