How to appear MODBUS energy meter data to Home assistant

Hello!

I install kc868 meter 4py to my distribution box and i connect it to my COLB with RS485 port.
I managed to get the readings  to the smart board controller software.

How to connect it with home assistant to appear the data?

if you want to see meter data to home assistant. you can use a USB-RS485 adapter connect to your Pi. use home assistant RS485 modbus way to read the meter directly.

I have connect COLB with home assistant by MQTT
Why i cant see the data from NODE RED and i have to buy an adapter?

the adapter is very cheap, connect directly will be easy for integration. because energy meter use standard MODBUS protocol. if use by COLB's RS485, that is kincony private protocol, not easy.
