Home Assistant ESP home AIO firmware update failed
#1

In Home Assistant this morning, there was an ESP home update and a AIO firmware update shown. I clicked on install in the AIO update, but it failed. Do you have any information about what might be the issue?

The update entities should be there from esphome 2023.2 provided your HA instance is also up to that level: https://esphome.io/changelog/2023.2.0.html
Please ignore it, your AIO also can work well , not need update anything.

OK Thanks. I just told it to skip the update. FYI, It hasn't failed since I reflowed U35.

I did some research in the ESP forum and there needs to be some small changes to the AIO Yaml to resolve the issue. The changes allow for onewire manufacturers other than Dallas to be integrated, as well as onewire components other than temperature sensors. The update was successful and everything works after these changes.  I attached screen shots of the required changes. I guess I'm learning this stuff after all! ;-)

Changes required to the Dallas (now one_wire) code block.

yes, ESPHome have updated yaml format for DS18B20, replaced by "one-wire" component.
