KC868-COLB Analog Sensor Data in Home Assistant - danielyoud401@gmail.com - 12-08-2025

Hi

I have configured MQTT in home assistant, and connected my KC868-COLB and KC868-H32B boards successfully to home assistant.

I am able to control relay outputs on KC868-H32B, and can see digital inputs on KC868-COLB change when connecting . However Analog Inputs are staying at 0.0V. I am using a 0-5VDC sensor and have confirmed i am getting a valid signal from the sensor using a multimeter (0-2.5 Bar Pressure sensor, reading goes up to 0.5V when i blow into sensor)

I am using YAML code from https://www.kincony.com/mqtt-input-module-home-assistant.html, with device ID entered in

  sensor:
    - name: COLB-A1
      unique_id: COLB-A1
      state_topic: COLB/99e80c000000c11d13155107/state
      unit_of_measurement: "V"
      value_template: "{{ value_json.A1.value }} "

What else do i need to do to get a reading to register on home assistant?

if you want COLB control H32B's relay, why not use a RS232 cable connect with each other directly? then set by COLB PC software for logic to control H32B, this is best way. it can work without home assistant.

I need to view the analog inputs, so that i can write automations. I also have other devices that will be incorporated into my system

Can you please help with getting analog sensor data in Home Assistant. I purchased these devices as Kincony advertise they are compatible with Home Assistant so I need to get it working

COLB integrate to home assistant by MQTT. here is config:
https://www.kincony.com/mqtt-input-module-home-assistant.html
you can see it how to feedback analog data to home assistant by mqtt.

I have followed that, I posted that link in the original post and am using the yaml code. The digital inputs are working but not the analog.

Code:
   - name: 'COLB-A1'
     unique_id: COLB-A1
     state_topic: 'COLB/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/state'
     unit_of_measurement: '%'
     value_template: '{{ value_json.A1.value }} '
Please note: You did not use quotation marks. you showed as this.

I have corrected that and still getting the same result

what COLB firmware version you are using?

RE: KC868-COLB Analog Sensor Data in Home Assistant - danielyoud401@gmail.com - 12-09-2025

According to Kincony Smart Board Controller, version is 1.2.7

I have the Home Assistant issue solved, in your YAML Demo config file, there is a space after the value template for COLB-A1 Value Template. I have removed this and now am seeing the transmitted data on the COLB-A1 Entity.

I now have found an issue with the mainboard parameters. Whenever the COLB loses power, the Mainboard parameters return to F Temperature, Analogy Variation of 1.00V, and Auto Send 10 Seconds. I need Analogy Variation of 0.01V and Auto Send 1 Second. When I configure these and save everything works well, but once i cycle power to the board they return to these settings and will not give enough sensitivity to the sensors I am using. How can I get these settings to be default in the Mainboard parameters.
