  extension keyboard: Hold functionality
Posted by: democles9308 - 10-10-2021, 05:46 PM - Forum: KC868-HxB series Smart Controller - Replies (3)

Hi,

Was wondering if the firmware of the 32 buttons extension keyboard might be modified so the press & hold function could also be used. For the moment it's only possible on the Mobile app.

I made one button with press& hold function using and ESP8266 and it works but hoped the µprocessor on the board could be reprogrammed..

Many thanks

Democles

Lightbulb SmartHome architecture
Posted by: andrei1302 - 10-10-2021, 08:42 AM - Forum: DIY Project - Replies (3)

Hello Kincony and other members,

Some months ago I got the decision to use your products for my SmartHome. Because I like the Ethernet wired connection and I don't like the WiFi so much.

For this, I already cabled my house in order to meet your products requirements (lamps, doors, power outlets, switches, etc).

My question now is about the connection between my 4 Panels, in order to have all of them in the same Home Assistant application.

Please, can you help me to know if something else (except the Ethernet wire) is needed for each panel? Or, maybe, some wires between the Panels ???

Please find attached the architecture of my Panels (pptx and png). If needed, you can add in the pptx file.

Thank you very much for your help !!!

  Power supply 12V with battery
Posted by: superG - 10-10-2021, 08:18 AM - Forum: KC868-HxB series Smart Controller - Replies (1)

Hello,

For my setup; I want to use an AC/DC 12V with an integrated battery (Kincony used in combination of my alarm system and domotic modules)

I was thinking to use the MeanWell DRC-40A but the voltage is slightly above 12V.

Is the input tolerant to 13V (voltage of the battery in float mode).

I have:
   -  K868-32b
   - Switch terminal board 2.1

Edit:
- Terminal board 2.1 is OK as it use the ST 78M05 linear circuit power which has a 35V Max absolute input
- That also means the chip will dissipate more power to drop down to 5V ( 16% more)

Thanks

Multichannel Omron Relay Module - flyback diode
Posted by: eladn - 10-09-2021, 06:32 PM - Forum: KC868-HxB series Smart Controller - Replies (2)

I noticed the "Multichannel Omron Relay Module" item on your store (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003084693879.html). I have some questions about it: (1) Does it have flyback diodes per channel? (2) Where are the capacitors schematically connected to?
Thanks, Elad.

  Slim 6A relays
Posted by: eladn - 10-09-2021, 10:43 AM - Forum: KC868-HxB series Smart Controller - Replies (8)

I noticed there are these slim relays out in the market (example: https://id.aliexpress.com/item/32888741133.html). It can save lots of space in the electric distribution box (comparing to classic wider OMRON relays). All the lights in my house are LEDs of max 40w, so theoretically 6A should be enough per channel. Do anyone have experience with these slim relays? Are they reliable & safe? Do they really could withstand 6A or is it over-specification? Should their expected lifetime be similar to the 10A OMRONs?
Thanks, Elad.

Multiple KC868-HxB actuators in one scene
Posted by: eladn - 10-09-2021, 10:30 AM - Forum: KC868-HxB series Smart Controller - Replies (4)

Is it possible to connect multiple KC868-HxB actuators in serial communication with a KC868-COLB unit? Let's say I want to formulate a logic rule that changes the state of relays from multiple actuator units - is it possible?
Thanks.
