Many people always give us house diagram phto and want to build a smart house. Now I write the article tell you how to plan.
[b]1. What function do you want?[/b]
[b]A. Light[/b]
Smart control light by mobile phone or PC computer by KC868-Hx relay controller.
Manaul control light by dry contact wall switch panel instead of your old wall switch panel.

How to Diagram:
- KC868-Hx relay controller output series connect with light.
- Wall switch panel connect with switch terminal board.Set the switch terminal board work mode for “light”.
- Switch terminal board connect with KC868-Hx relay controller by RS232 cable.
- Such as you can use any two line button, there have two line, when short , light will be ON, short again, light will be OFF, just repeat. If short K1 two line, turn ON/OFF light1, if short K2 two line, turn ON/OFF light2…. If use a 4 key switch panel, you need connect 4+1=5 line from wall swith panel with switch terminal board. If use a 6 key switch panel, you need connect 7+1=8 line from wall swith panel with switch terminal board. +1 line means “COM” line. So you can use CAT5 network cable for wall switch use, wall switch panel not need power supply.
[b]B. Curtain or blind[/b]

How to Diagram:
- KC868-Hx relay controller output connect with curtain or blind motor. The motor should be work with AC220V. Every curtain motor need two relay output port used. Such as curtain1 use relay1 and relay2, curtain2 use relay3 and relay4…..
- Wall switch panel connect with switch terminal board.Set the switch terminal board work mode for “curtain”.
- Switch terminal board connect with KC868-Hx relay controller by RS232 cable.
- You can define one button for curtain “UP”, another button for curtain “DOWN”
If you have 1 curtain maual control by one wall switch panel. The panel can have 2 button, key1 is for “UP”, key2 is for “DOWN”. you need connect 2+1=3 line from wall swith panel with switch terminal board.
If you have 2 curtain maual control by one wall switch panel. The panel can have 4 button, key1 is for curtain-1 “UP”, key2 is for curtain-1 “DOWN”, key3 is for curtain-2 “UP”, key4 is for curtain-2 “DOWN”. you need connect 4+1=5 line from wall swith panel with switch terminal board.
If you have 3 curtain maual control by one wall switch panel. The panel can have 6 button, key1 is for curtain-1 “UP”, key2 is for curtain-1 “DOWN”, key3 is for curtain-2 “UP”, key4 is for curtain-2 “DOWN”, key5 is for curtain-3 “UP”, key6 is for curtain-3 “DOWN”. you need connect 6+1=7 line from wall swith panel with switch terminal board.
[b]C. Garage[/b]
Automatic control garage door by PIR motion sensor or by wireless remoter by KC868-Hx relay controller.
Diagram for smart control and manual control way as curtain’s, because all this device used by motor.
If want automatic control, need add KC868-COL logical controller and sensor.
[b]D. Air conditioner[/b]
Put KC868-G wifi gateway in front of air conditioner. It can learn your IR remoter’s button signal, then it can send IR signal , just instead of your IR remoter. There must be no obstruction between air conditoner and KC868-G. KC868-G only connect with AC power supply for DC5V is ok. If 2 rooms have 2 air conditioners, you need put every room a KC868-G. if some IR device all in front of KC868-G, then KC868-G can control them at the same time, not need to add KC868-G number.
[b]E. TV, DVD,STB and other multimedia equipment[/b]
As same as air conditioner, if your TV , DVD, STB… all on the TV cabinet, you can use one KC868-G beside them to control all these device by IR signal.
[b]F. Power socket[/b]

After relay controller output need add a AC contactor or solid state relay to extend the power load, you can chose 20A,30A,60A,100A….. it’s up to your load. Behind AC contactor or solid state relay output connect to power socket (common socket) directly.
[b]G. Fountain water flow[/b]

The way as same as light’s. if load current is large, use AC contactor or solid state relay to extend.
[b]H. Swimming pool[/b]

[b]I. Water pump[/b]

[b]K. CCTV IPCameras[/b]
See video screen on phone or PC computer by IPCamera and NVR.
All IPCamera need connect with network cable or wifi, suggest use network cable, it will stable. NVR also connect with network cable connect with router, NVR’s HDMI connect with TV for play video record.
[b]L. Security sensor[/b]
Trigger for relay controller output and send alarm message. All sensors need DC12V power supply and signal output connect with KC868-COL logical controller. You can monitor all sensor status on Windows PC screen and program IFTTT automatic control for relay controller. Such as WHEN sensor trigger THEN switch is ON/OFF. WHEN water level is low THEN water pump is ON. WHEN car arrived THEN garage door OPEN. All command you can create by yourself.
[b]2. Which products to chose?[/b]
For smart home solution, most used product is KC868-Hx relay controller and KC868-G.
Now you need to design your house and every room how many lights and curtains will have? Then you will calculate total channel for lights, total channel for curtain. Which channels use one controller put in where floor. All this need be confirmed.
KC868-Hx relay controller have 2,4,8,16,32 channels model. The “x” means the channel number. “x” can be 2,4,8,16,32.
After you calculate the channel and know which model controller you will use. Then you need to confirm how many wall switch you will use, the wall swith panel have 2,4,6,8,16,32 buttons different version. So you need according to your usage habits to chose which wall switch and how many wall switch you will use. Because sometimes you need one light control in two different place, near door and near bed, or three or four different place. It’s easy , just parallel connect all your used switch panel together.
