  Help KC868-A6
Posted by: eddiebullman - 01-22-2024, 04:01 PM - Forum: KC868-A6 - Replies (14)

Hi

I emailed hificat@163.com and asked the following question.

I am locking for a control board that has the following

ESP32 WiFi which can be connected to Home Assistant

Has 6 relay outputs which can be controlled via Home Assistant

Has 6 inputs who state changes are passed onto Home Assistant

Has 2 inputs which I can connect Wiegand RFID/Keypads so when a code is enter or a tag is read it is passed onto Home Assistant

Do yo have such a board as I am looking for 2 such boards ?

The response I got was

KC868-A6 suitable for you.

here is details:  https://www.kincony.com/esp32-6-channel-...68-a6.html

My response was

Thanks for the info.

but that on has one serial interface on the board or can I use that for one Wiegand keypad and the 9pin D for the other Wiegand keypad as I need to connect 2 to each board

then I got this response.

see this photo:
https://www.kincony.com/images/KC868-A6/KC868-A6-1_05.jpg

there are IO1 and IO2 use for Wiegand keypad.

Which I understand but I then asked this question

So I connect the first keypad to IO1 & IO2 and connect the second keypad to the serial port outlined in the diagram.

Or can I only connect one keypad ?

The then told the told me to ask my question on here. So here I am

So my main question is how I connect 2 Wiegand Keypads to KC868-A6

Thanks

Eddie

Hello!
Is it possible to connect two or more DS18B20 temperature sensors with the current KC868-A4 firmware? How can this be done?

Question Details for M30 board
Posted by: nickdd - 01-22-2024, 12:06 AM - Forum: KC868-M16 / M1 / MB / M30 - Replies (6)

Hi,

Would also be interested in new M30 board.

But looking for some details:

- What type of CT clamps are needed?  The M16v2 works with SCT013 with 3.5 mm jack, but what type is needed here ?

- Can you post details about the accuracy and especially if it can do stable readings of low power usage values like only a couple of watts. I would like to measure the real power usage of some electronic devices.

- Does M30 measure active power, so taking into account the power factor / cos phi ?

Regards,

  H32B can not update
Posted by: cygras - 01-21-2024, 04:51 PM - Forum: KC868-HxB series Smart Controller - Replies (7)

I have H32B which I bought few years ago. I was using it only by "shorting" contacts and everything works, but now I need to add it to HA. I that case I need to update firmware to enable MQTT (I am thinking so). Connecting directly by IP does not work, I hope it will work after update.

Connecting via NET REMOTE IAP works, I connect in 5 seconds after rebooting, ping is successfully returned, but when I choose firmware nothing happens. I have tried different versions of firmware but I am stuck on same result. As I do not know what processor I have, I have tried versions <5.x and >4.4

I have a problem. I have KC868-H32B Pro, KC868-AK ESP32 Programmable Keyboard, KC868-HA V2. How to connect them together? In Home Assistant, KC868-H32B Pro works with MQTT normally, but I can't connect KC868-HA V2 additionally.

  KC868-A64 output changes are slow
Posted by: miravod - 01-20-2024, 01:09 PM - Forum: KC868-A series and Uair Smart Controller - Replies (7)

I would like to control groups of outputs quickly. E.g. set output1, output2, output3,... output15 to on, rest to off.
I'm mainly interested in wired ethernet connection (I expect it to give better results than WiFi).

I've expected the string format of TCP client/ TCP server would be best because the commands are quite compact. However, those protocols are not stable for me and are causing frequent disconnections.
Are there some protocol constraints like, wait until reply was received or something like that? How does the board recognize the end of the command anyways (there are no specifications about command delimiters, so packet fragmentation can cause issues here)?

Then I've tried MQTT but setting e.g. the mentioned 15 outputs takes non-trivial time (I would estimate ~500ms?).
The MQTT command I've used is this one

Code:
{"output1":{"value":true},"output2":{"value":true},"output3":{"value":true},"output4":{"value":true},"output5":{"value":true},"output6":{"value":true},"output7":{"value":true},"output8":{"value":true},"output9":{"value":true},"output10":{"value":true},"output11":{"value":true},"output12":{"value":true},"output13":{"value":true},"output14":{"value":true},"output15":{"value":true}}

I've mostly used firmware 1.0.27
Are there any alternative firmwares to try (I've also tested TCP protocols on 2.2.2 with the same result)? Is there some open source firmware I can use and tweak for my usecase? I don't need most of the "smart" logic of the board, I just want to be notified very quickly about input changes and be able to quickly control the outputs.

Thank you in advance!

  Scan Device List Not Working
Posted by: BeAlarmed - 01-17-2024, 10:17 PM - Forum: KC868-A8S - Replies (3)

I have purchased the A8S v2. I have the USB cable and the device seems to be connected to port 3. I have connected the ethernet cable to that port on the device. I have downloaded the Flash_download_tool_3.9.2 and believe that I have updated the firmware with the KCS_KC868_A8S_v2.1.0.bin file. I now am trying to use the "SCAN DEVICE LIST" to find the device. I cannot update the static IP yet when I click the StartMonitorPort it says "The selected-ip maybe an invalid one, pls set the static ip first!" How can I do this?
