  K868-A16 433 RF MHz receiver
Posted by: Razvan - 03-16-2022, 09:30 PM - Forum: KC868-A16 - Replies (59)

Hello,

I recently bought some kincony modules to test. I want to make a smart home with modules made by kincony and Home assistant using ESPhome. My problem is this. I'm trying to use KC868-A16 with ESPhome and I can't decode the 433 MHz RF signal. (Of course I bought the KC868-A16 with the RF Transmit and receive modules). I saw "Lesson31- How to decode 433MHz RF signal and control RF device by ESPHome". According to the wiring diagram for KC868-A16, GPIO 2 is 433 MHz receive, and GPIO 15 is 433 MHz transmit. I use a common 433MHz remote control that has 4 buttons and I can't get any signal. Please help me solve this problem. Below is the configuration I have in KC868-A16.

Posted by: athxp - 03-13-2022, 10:25 AM - Forum: KC868-HxB series Smart Controller - Replies (14)

Good morning,

I wanted to know which sensors can be used for the analog inputs of COL. from the textbook it says 0-5V, but often the sensors are resistive.

I would need to monitor a temperature from 0 to 100 degrees.

thank you

Lesson4 - Install Home Assistant Operating System
Posted by: admin - 03-13-2022, 06:04 AM - Forum: Home automation training courses - Replies (21)

1. install rpiboot.exe for Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 eMMC USB driver.
    For Windows Installer
For those who just want to enable the Compute Module eMMC as a mass storage device under Windows, the stand-alone installer is the recommended option.

        1. Please ensure you are not writing to any USB devices whilst the installer is running.
        2. Download and run the Windows installer to install the drivers and boot tool.

.zip   rpiboot_setup.zip (Size: 9.9 MB / Downloads: 1317)
        3. Plug your host PC USB into the KC868-Server USB port, making sure you have setup the board as described above.
        4. Apply power to the board; Windows should now find the hardware and install the driver.
        5. Once the driver installation is complete, run the RPiBoot.exe tool that was previously installed.
        6. After a few seconds, the Compute Module eMMC will pop up under Windows as a disk (USB mass storage device).

2. install home assistant OS to Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4's eMMC.

Write the image to KC868-Server. if CM4 have eMMC, not need insert SD card. if CM4 without eMMC, Attach the Home Assistant boot media (SD card) to your computer or by USB card reader.

    1. Download and start Balena Etcher tool.
    2. Download home assistant for Raspberry Pi image:  https://github.com/home-assistant/operat...7.4.img.xz and unzip it.
    3. Select “Flash from file”

    4.  “Select target”

    5. Select the SD card or eMMC driver you want to use for your Raspberry Pi

    6. Click on “Flash!” to start writing the image
[Image: etcher5.png]
    7. When Balena Etcher is finished writing the image you will get this confirmation

START UP YOUR KC868-Server
    1. Insert the boot media (SD card) you just created. if use eMMC , skip this step.
    2. Attach an Ethernet cable for network.
    3. Attach the power cable.
    4. In the browser of your Desktop system, within a few minutes you will be able to reach your new Home Assistant on homeassistant.local:8123.

If you are running an older Windows version or have a stricter network configuration, you might need to access Home Assistant at homeassistant:8123 or http://X.X.X.X:8123 (replace X.X.X.X with your KC868-Server's IP address).
With the Home Assistant Operating System installed and accessible you can continue with onboarding.
