  input A1 4-20mA ESPHome
Posted by: kgrzesiek - 09-02-2023, 10:29 AM - Forum: KC868-A4 - Replies (3)

Hello,
please help me to configure a 4..20mA sensor

I connected a passive 4-20mA sensor
24VDC power supply (external power source) -> sensor -> current signal from the sensor to A1 KC868-A4
AGND   KC868-A4 -> GND power suppy

configuration in esphome is as in the following link

https://www.kincony.com/forum/showthread...8&pid=4140

sensor:
  - platform: adc
    pin: 34
    name: "ADC-IN"
    update_interval: 5s

The sensor configuration in the example above refers to: pin: 34

following page
https://devices.esphome.io/devices/KinCony-KC868-A4
says
GPIO32 analog input1

what should be the correct configuration of the 4-20mA sensor in the esphome environment ?

I get readings similar to the screen below, when I warm up the temperature sensor the voltage does not change , so this is not a scaling problem just a misreading

when I measure the current flowing between the sensor and the A1 input, its value is 16mA - the temperature range on the sensor is -50..50C - so the value of 17mA corresponds approximately to 25C

binary sensors and binary outputs work correctly under esphome (home assistant)

Where could be the problem , what should I recheck , or maybe change the configuration ?

  kc868-a32 ethernet problems
Posted by: jy1999 - 09-01-2023, 10:41 PM - Forum: KC868-A32/A32 Pro - Replies (14)

just got a new kc868-a32, connect to router with ethernet cable, same as my desktop etc. Using power adaptor from the package, 12vdc 2A. But, the connection is not detected by Home Assistance, nor I can see from my router network map etc. Changed ethernet cable as well. Tried resetting the board, and power off/on multiple times, still no lucky.

I am using the ESPHome script in HA, as suggested by KC. Appreciate any help or suggestion. Thanks.

Hi I'm new here and need some help

I'm bought the KC868-A8S board version 1.2 from kincony aliexpress official seller, I'm a crestron/savant and lutron programmer but I'm trying to new prog adventures and found kincony and it's awesome!

I'm create a basic automation in arduino code to my esp32 later with 8 inouts and 8 relays, and my homespan code maybe can fit here, but I can't found a realiton of input ports from esp32 to hardwired outs to adapt my software

If you have a homespan working software to this board I'll aprecciate that!!

thank you in advance!

How to Communicate Between KC868-Server Raspberry Pi4 and Mitsubishi PLC via Ethernet
Posted by: hoang - 09-01-2023, 01:37 AM - Forum: KC868-Server Raspberry Pi4 local server - Replies (1)

hello,

Could you create a simple tutorial video on how to communicate between a PLC and KC868-Server Raspberry Pi4 via Ethernet? For example, sending data like temperature (Analog) from Raspberry Pi to Mitsubishi PLC, and controlling PLC inputs and outputs through Raspberry Pi.

Thank you for you help.

  [KC868-AG] IR not working
Posted by: NEOhidra - 08-30-2023, 11:46 AM - Forum: KC868-A series and Uair Smart Controller - Replies (9)

The short version - RF works fine, but IR does not work.

Here is my configuration:

Code:
esphome:
  name: "${name_id}"
  friendly_name: "${name}"
  comment: "${comment}"

esp32:
  board: esp32dev
  framework:
    type: arduino

logger:
  level: DEBUG

<<: !include sections/common.yaml

remote_receiver:
  - id: receiver_ir
    pin:
      number: GPIO23
      inverted: True
    dump: all

It is producing this log (config_default_log.txt) when I am pressing the same button multiple times.
The following log entry correlates with each button press:
Quote:Component remote_receiver took a long time for an operation (0.05 s).

Logged code values are always somehow random.

Trying to send, one of the received random codes is not possible. Always because of: "Inconsistent data, not sending"
The log is attached as "config_default_log_error.txt"

Am I doing something incorrectly and causing this issue?
