  OUTPUT DO1
Posted by: Lupi84 - 12-27-2025, 12:09 PM - Forum: KC868-AIO - Replies (8)

The DO1 output physically shows a high state. After uploading new software, when logging in directly to the controller, the inputs and outputs are disabled, but DO1 physically remains on all the time. I have no idea what is causing this. I haven’t connected any relays to the outputs yet.

Photo N20 Problem with Home Assistant Conection
Posted by: Luismical1 - 12-27-2025, 08:26 AM - Forum: N20 - Replies (6)

Hello, I recently received an N20. I have access to it via Ethernet, but I can't connect it to "kinconyn20.local" nor can I connect it to Home Assistant. The strange thing is that it connects via MQTT from Home Assistant.

As soon as the device arrived, I flashed it to version v3 3.18.0. Its IP address is 192.168.3.78 (within my network range, OK), and its Wi-Fi access point is 192.168.4.1.

Is the problem that it can't access "kinconyn20.local"? Why doesn't Home Assistant recognize it?

I need to check the configuration of the CT clamps, as well as the L1 and L2 power inputs, which are not appearing.

I'm Spanish, sorry for the autotranslated English.

sample code to receive http get
Posted by: telinda - 12-26-2025, 03:37 PM - Forum: F16 - Replies (23)

Hello Admin,

Have you ever created an example Arduino program to get results from API calls (HTTP/HTTPS Web Server)?
Btw, I used Kincony F16 ESPS3 with Tuya.
And I have already tested mostly features in the KCS V3 firmware.

Thank you very much.

  Single Moment switch
Posted by: Borg357 - 12-24-2025, 04:30 PM - Forum: DIY Project - Replies (1)

I have a Kincony A16v3, with Home Assistant running on a Pi4.

I ran a Momentary Push Button Switch to a switch input on the A16v3.  I set up an automation where you press the switch, and it runs an automation.

Is there a way to run a different automation on the way you press the switch?  Like, if I hold the button down, it triggers a different automation?

If this exists, can you point me toward a tutorial?

Thank you

Replacing ESP32 with Kincony A16: Relay Control Issue
Posted by: paku2020 - 12-24-2025, 12:07 PM - Forum: KC868-A16 - Replies (1)

Hello,
I am a new user of the Kincony A16. I would like to replace my current ESP32 with the A16, but I am having an issue with the relay modules. In my existing project, the relays are controlled using 3.3 V logic. How can I control a low-voltage relay module using the A16? Are there any available options or recommended solutions?

KC868-A6 - how to connect an optocoupler
Posted by: itpraktyk - 12-22-2025, 09:44 PM - Forum: KC868-A6 - Replies (10)

Hi!

I would like connect to the KC868-A6-V1.4SP an optocoupler - similar to https://pl.aliexpress.com/item/1005008446930626.html . My goal is to detect and react for switching 230V power in monitored circuit.

I flashed the KC868-A6 board with ESPHome - for now with default configuration.

Can someone help me understand
- from which pin should I take a power source for low voltage optocoupler side
- where to connect its output to the KC868-A6 board
- what I have to add to the ESPHome configuraiton?

Thank you in advance.

  KC868-A16 home assistant
Posted by: guycaluwaerts - 12-22-2025, 06:00 PM - Forum: DIY Project - Replies (1)

board KC868-a16 V1.7
software Kincony V2.2.18

I have connected the board with home assitant using mqtt broker.
Now I can see all 16 inputs and  16 outputs.

When I want to create an automation or a scene, I cannot select an input ( indicated as' bineray sensor' in homeassistant. How can I select this binary sensor to trigger an automation ?

Second question. In the Kincony software I can select for an input 'single click, double click, hold on, .... etc'. Can this information also send to homeassistant ? Now I only see for these inputs only ON or OFF

N30 Energy entry not working and power entry is wrong
Posted by: Vega - 12-22-2025, 02:38 PM - Forum: N30 - Replies (30)

Hi,

Somehow the Energy entry does not work.
There is current, voltage, power, frequency and also energy sum, but no energy per device.
I'm using these  CT clamps https://shop.kincony.com/products/25a-cu...s=e&_v=1.0

Why is there no Energy displayed per device? Can you help me?

There are some errors in the yaml file here https://www.kincony.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=8647
There were strange characters or weird spaces in the file, did need to correct that otherwise ESPHome didn't wanted to apply it.
Also indentation of some of the filters was of (not a problem for ESPHome).

  KC868-Server ESP32 Ethernet (JL1101 PHY) – ESPHome config help
Posted by: greywolf241 - 12-21-2025, 03:40 AM - Forum: KC868-Server Raspberry Pi4 local server - Replies (7)

Hi all,
I’m commissioning a KinCony KC868-Server and running the onboard ESP32 (WROOM-32UE) with ESPHome.
USB flashing works fine via CH340, but I’m having trouble bringing up the ESP32 Ethernet.

I’m confident this is ESP32 native Ethernet (RMII)not W5500 SPI. The board clearly has a PHY + magnetics for the ESP32 Ethernet port (separate from the CM4 Ethernet).
Key observations:

  • ESPHome compile output shows:

    Code:
    esp_eth_phy_jl1101.c.o
so it appears the PHY is JL1101
  • Runtime log shows EMAC reset timeout when Ethernet is initialised
  • Ethernet never links, no DHCP lease
Current ESPHome config (fails to bring up Ethernet):

Code:
ethernet:
  type: LAN8720
  mdc_pin: GPIO23
  mdio_pin: GPIO18
  clk:
    pin: GPIO0
    mode: input
  phy_addr: 1
  power_pin: GPIO16

Runtime error:

Code:
emac_esp32_init(): reset timeout
ethernet was marked as failed

Questions:
  1. Can anyone confirm which Ethernet PHY the KC868-Server ESP32 actually uses?
    • Is it JL1101 (as ESPHome compile suggests)?
  2. If so, could someone share a known-working ESPHome Ethernet YAML for this board?
  3. Are the RMII pins / PHY address / power pin documented anywhere for the ESP32 side?
I’m happy to test and report back once I have the correct config.
Thanks in advance — the hardware looks great, just need to get the ESP32 Ethernet initialised correctly.
